He was at the steakhouse in Simi Valley celebrating his anniversary when he realized his jacket was gone from the coat check. Keys, wallet, phone. He borrowed the host's phone, called the police, then his wife called me from her phone.
His 2016 Cadillac XTS was in the lot with zero keys. The Cadillac dealer told his wife it would be 3 to 5 business days, the car needed to be towed in, and they recommended reprogramming the entire smart system since the stolen fob could still unlock the doors. Combined estimate was over $800.

I used my IM608 to access the body control module, clear the old key data, and register two new fobs from scratch. His smart key, FCC ID HYQ2AB, was a 5-button proximity fob. I decoded the lock, cut the emergency blade, and had both fobs working before the restaurant closed.
He drove home that night. Total was 359 for two new keys. The dealer estimated 641 plus a tow and nearly a week. The stolen fob is dead to the car.
