A food truck owner was working the farmers market near CSUSM Area in San Marcos. He had parked the 2024 Integra a couple rows back from his setup and somewhere between the morning prep and the lunch rush winding down, he realized his only fob was not responding the way it should. The start button was seeing it sometimes, sometimes not. He figured he needed to go to the dealer and had already mentally blocked off a weekday to deal with it.

That kind of thing happens when someone pries the case open with a key instead of a proper tool. Reseated the CR2032 correctly, straightened the clip, and the fob came back immediately.
We still ran a full check: proximity detection at both door handles, start button response, all five buttons confirmed. Everything was working cleanly before I packed up.
He had been ready to hand the car over to a dealer for a full programming appointment and wait for a callback. What he actually needed was about fifteen minutes in a parking lot. The dealer route would have cost him a weekday, a tow if it had gotten worse, and a bill that would have made him wince. He paid a fraction of that and walked back to his truck before the afternoon crowd showed up.
