I got a call from a woman in the Winter Gardens area of Lakeside. It was a Tuesday morning, just after 8:30. She had a showing at 10am and her 2014 BMW 2 Series was sitting in the office parking lot doing nothing.
The fob looked fine from the outside. But the car was not responding to it at all. She had already tried holding it close to the start button, which is actually the right move, and nothing happened. Cut a new blade to match the lock. Programmed the new fob. Registered it to the car. Walked her through the emergency blade storage so she would not be standing in a parking lot guessing next time.
She made the showing. I was gone before 10.
She mentioned the dealer had told her two days minimum if she brought it in. I did not push that comparison. She had already done the math.
