2022 Hyundai Palisade
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in San Diego

2022 Hyundai Palisade Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

I got a call on a Monday from a woman in Otay Mesa West, sitting in the parking lot of her dentist's office. Her 2022 Palisade was there, she had her fob, and none of it was working right.

One key had stopped being recognized at the door handles. She'd already called the Hyundai dealer before she called me. They said Thursday was the earliest opening, and even then they'd need to confirm the fob was in stock before committing to same-day turnaround. She commutes every day. No backup car. Thursday wasn't an answer.

I was in the lot that same afternoon.

The thing about a Palisade smart key job is that it's not a flip-the-ignition-twice situation. The 2022 model requires diagnostic equipment to access the immobilizer and register keys properly. I connected my programmer, pulled up the Hyundai security application, and worked through the key registration process on site. The factory fob, the seven-button unit with the factory FCC ID on the label, paired cleanly. I walked every function after: door handles, lock, unlock, the whole sequence. Everything confirmed before I closed the job.

She was back on her commute the same day she called. The dealer comparison didn't even come up until she was already in the car. She said she'd already done that math herself.
