2023 Jaguar I-Pace Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I got the call from a husband in North Park. His wife and their college-age daughter had been in a shopping area in San Diego when someone grabbed her bag. Keys, wallet, phone, gone. The daughter used her own phone to call the police, then her dad, then eventually me.
The 2023 I-Pace was sitting in a garage with zero working keys. The Jaguar dealer told him the job would take three to five business days, require a tow, and involve clearing the vehicle's key memory so the stolen fob couldn't start the car. The estimate they gave him was not small.
I drove out that evening. All-keys-lost on this generation of I-Pace means you work through the vehicle's immobilizer control module to wipe every stored key identity and enroll new ones from scratch. The stolen fob becomes permanently dead to that car the moment the process completes. I used my diagnostic setup to access the module, generate two new key files, write them to fresh fobs, and cut two emergency blades to match the lock. Both fobs were verified and working before the police had finished the report across town.
She drove home that night. The dealer's timeline was measured in days and a tow truck. Mine was measured in hours, at her location, for a fraction of what they quoted.
The stolen key is completely useless to that car now. That part mattered more to her than anything else.
