2006 Porsche Cayman Remote Flip Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
An oral surgeon in Scripps Ranch called me from an underground parking garage. Not a surface lot. A below-ground structure with a low ceiling and a tight spiral ramp that a flatbed could not physically navigate. His 2006 Cayman was sitting on sublevel 2, not going anywhere, and the dealer's answer was to get the car out first.
He could not get the car out. That was the problem.
I drove my van to the garage entrance, grabbed my tools, and walked down. The car was exactly where he said it was, parked clean, no drama except for a dead key. I connected through the OBD port, read the immobilizer, and programmed a replacement flip key right there between the concrete pillars. Cut the blade on the spot. Tested it in the door, tested it in the ignition, ran through the remote functions.
The car started. He never needed a tow. The dealer answer had assumed a working key was a precondition for getting a replacement key, which is exactly backwards.
He mentioned what the dealer had quoted him to do the same job once he could get there. My number was a fraction of that, and I came to him.
