I used my HU66 Lishi to pick the door and get inside, then connected through OBD to read the immobilizer data, calculated the PIN and security codes, and programmed a new smart fob. His Remote Flip Key, FCC ID KR55WK45022, was a 3-button car-shaped smart key. On his model year, the AKL procedure stayed OBD-based without needing a bench pull. I made him a spare too.
His car started in the same trailhead lot. Total was around $329. Dealer wanted $595 plus a tow from a canyon trailhead no flatbed was reaching quickly.
