2016 Volkswagen Tiguan Remote Flip Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Over in Bay Marina, National City, a nurse had just picked up a used 2016 Tiguan off Facebook Marketplace. Good shape, fair deal, and the seller handed her exactly one key. He said the second one was around somewhere. It never showed up.
She called the Volkswagen dealer to price out a spare. They quoted her a number that made her stomach drop, especially right after putting money down on the car and setting up insurance. She found me online and asked if that dealer price was actually normal.
It is. Dealers on these aren't cheap, and there's usually a wait on top of the cost. Parts get ordered, appointments get made, and you're coming back twice. I told her I could do the same job, same day, for a fraction of what they wanted.
We met in a lot near Bay Marina before she drove home. I matched the key blank to her vehicle, cut the blade, and used my programming equipment to read the security data from the car and program the new key into the immobilizer. The whole job ran under an hour at her car. No appointment queue, no wait for parts to ship.
Four buttons, blade, transponder. Everything on the spare matched the original. She drove home with two working keys and a noticeably lighter weight on her mind. The dealer comparison was almost an afterthought by the time we were done.
