Out near Goleta Beach Park, an NSX owner flagged me down from a parking area off Sandspit Road. He'd been carrying one key for years and it had finally worn to the point where the ignition fought him every morning. Some days it turned, some days he sat there wiggling it for two minutes before something caught.

He asked about the Monel key, the all-metal one Acura sold as the "titanium" key back in the day, P/N 35113-SL0-A11. I told him it's actually a nickel-copper alloy and it's a sticky cut, but I can do it if he sources the blank. He said he'd think about it. Most guys just want a key that works.
