A mobile locksmith who does this work daily gets in, does the job, and gets out.

Can I use a key blank I bought online for my 2004 NSX?

You can, but it still has to be cut to your vehicle and programmed to the immobilizer before it will start the car. A blank is just that - blank. If a new blade with the right cut still turns hard, then you are looking at the cylinder. But more often than not, a fresh cut fixes it completely. Running a worn key until it binds hard enough to stick is a bad outcome on any car, and worse on a car you cannot easily get a replacement for same-day.
