Push-to-start all-keys-lost is the job that worries Chevy owners the most. No ignition slot, no way to turn a metal key. The car needs to wirelessly detect a programmed fob before it even wakes up. If that fob is gone, the car feels dead, but it isn't.

A camper at an RV park outside Simi Valley had a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze with push-to-start and zero keys. He was 40 minutes from town with no way to move the car. Everyone he asked said smart key all-keys-lost was dealer-only.

I drove to the park. Push-to-start AKL on Chevy is more involved because the body control module needs to be accessed directly and old key data needs to be cleared before new fobs can learn. I used my ACDP to pull the immobilizer data as a safety backup, then ran the AKL sequence through OBD. His smart fob, FCC ID OHT01060512, was a 5-button proximity key.

His car started at an RV park with no dealer anywhere close. Total was around 197. The dealer route would have been 404 plus a long tow. Smart key AKL isn't dealer-only. It's tool-dependent. Right tools, current software, and it's a field job. He was pretty amazed it could all happen right there.
