I connected my IM608 to the OBD port, ran the security access through the BCM, cleared the old key data, and programmed two new 5-button proximity fobs from scratch. Cut both emergency blades, decoded the lock, tested every button at every door.
He drove home that night. The stolen fob can still physically slide into the door lock, but the immobilizer will not let the engine turn over. That part matters when your keys walk off with a stranger.
