An ATV rider at the desert trailhead outside Oxnard realized his key was gone after unloading his quad. It must have bounced out on the trail. Once I had the code, I cut a fresh key, built the transponder, and programmed it through OBD. His Fobik, FCC ID , was a -button remote that I paired to the WIN module as part of the all-keys-lost sequence.
No drilling, no cylinder swap, no new ignition. His total was 95. The other locksmith was quoting 200 or more with a full cylinder replacement. His original lock works with the new key exactly as it always did.
