Tested start. Tested restart after a five-minute sit, because intermittent SKIM faults sometimes only show themselves after the key sits idle and the module cycles. Everything clean.
He watched the whole thing from the driver's window. When it fired right up on the second test, he just nodded like he had been holding his breath.
The dealer in Oxnard quoted him a tow-in plus a wait of a few days. I was done in his parking lot in about 25 minutes.
