Q: Do I need to tow my car to the dealer if I have no keys?

Not for most GMC models. A mobile locksmith with the right tools and credentials can handle all-keys-lost right where the vehicle sits. Q: What battery does the 2011 GMC Yukon key fob use?

The 2011 GMC Yukon uses a CR2032 battery. When we do an all-keys-lost job, the new key always comes with a fresh battery installed. You will not need to worry about battery life on your new key for a long time. We also recommend keeping a spare battery at home once you have your key, since a dead fob on a GMC push-to-start system can leave you unable to start the truck even though the vehicle is fine.

Once that key is learned, adding a second key takes about a minute using the fast procedure. Getting both keys done in one visit saves you from ever paying for another AKL job.
