When a 2017 Audi Q5 key is done wrong, it does not just partially work. It fails. The engine might crank but the immobilizer kills fuel injection after two seconds. The remote might lock but not unlock. The comfort access might detect the fob one day and ignore it the next. Or the key programs initially but the car rejects it after a drive cycle.
