1996 Chrysler Concorde Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Over in Old Poway, a guy flagged me down in the parking lot near the heritage park. He had gotten his key blade stuck in the door lock of his 1996 Chrysler Concorde, and when he tried to pull it free, it snapped. Half the blade was in his hand. The other half was seated inside the lock cylinder.
A locksmith he reached first told him the cylinder was done. Said it would need to be drilled, pulled, and replaced. New cylinder, new keys, a bill that was going to hurt.
He wanted a second opinion, and that is where I came in.
I extracted the broken fragment from the door lock using a pick tool, working slowly so the wafer surfaces inside stayed clean. No scratching, no forcing. Once the piece came out, I decoded the lock by reading each wafer position directly. That gave me the exact cut depths I needed to produce a working key without ever seeing the original blade intact.
I cut a new key from the decode right there on site. The lock turned. The ignition turned. His fob still worked independently, because it had nothing to do with the blade to begin with. The lock cylinder looked the same as it did before I arrived.
He saved a real chunk compared to what the first locksmith was proposing, and the job was done before he finished his coffee.
