He was at a winery tasting room outside Vista early in the morning for a distributor meeting. His 2012 Porsche Cayenne was parked in the gravel lot and his only flip key wouldn't start the car. His Cayenne used the older Cayenne-style flip key with the HU66 blade and ID46 chip. I used my Smart Pro to read the immobilizer PIN through OBD, then reprogrammed his existing key's transponder data. His Smart Key with FCC ID KR55WK50138 was a 5-button flip key. The chip had been intermittently failing from a hairline crack on the antenna coil and needed a fresh transponder code written to match the car's immobilizer.
He made his distributor meetings on time. Total was $389. Dealer wanted $712 and a week-long wait. His car started in the same winery gravel lot where it had been sitting dead.
