I got a call from someone camping near the Santee Lakes Area. He had a 2016 Scion FR-S sitting in a gravel lot with no working key. Not a dead battery situation. He had lost his only key somewhere on the grounds and had no spare. The car wasn't going anywhere on its own.

He was back on the road without a tow, without a dealer appointment, without waiting on a parts order. The whole job happened in a gravel lot with a view of the campground. That's the part that sticks with me. Not that I saved him money, though he did save a good chunk compared to the dealer route. It's that nobody should be stranded at a campground because the assumption was that the job couldn't be done on site.
