Over in Ramona Highlands, a woman called me about her 2024 BRZ. She'd bought it used about a year earlier with one key, the way used car deals often go. Always meant to get a spare cut. Never got around to it.

Then I ran the programming through the diagnostic port to confirm everything was registered correctly, and cut a second key so she wasn't walking away with a single point of failure again.
Start to finish it took about 40 minutes. She mentioned the dealer had quoted her a number that made her pause before she even picked up the phone to call them. Coming out to Ramona Highlands and handling it on site was a different conversation entirely.
The takeaway, if you bought your BRZ used and it came with one key, call before that key becomes zero keys.
