Out in Peutz Valley, off one of those winding roads where the addresses get hard to find, I met a guy who had already been living with a broken key for a few months. His 2011 Tribeca started fine every time, but the remote buttons had stopped responding and he was manually unlocking with the key blade every single day. I stayed another few minutes and cut a spare key while I was there, enrolled it to the immobilizer, and tested both keys on the ignition before I packed up.
