Your 2008 Infiniti M45 uses a smart key with 4 buttons on the face, a CR2032 battery inside powering the wireless communication, and a high-security emergency blade tucked inside the fob body. That blade slides out when the fob battery dies and you need to physically open the door. There's also a transponder chip that talks to the IMMO module every time you press start.
