I got a call from someone up in Mission Canyon on a weekday morning. Steep driveway, lots of oak shade, the kind of street where the houses are tucked back and you almost miss the address.
He'd been driving the M45 since he bought it used a few years back. One key, which he knew was a bad idea but never got around to fixing. Then he snapped it. Not lost, not locked inside. Snapped. He asked what the dealer would have wanted for the same job. I told him a dealer visit would have meant a tow, a wait for a tech, and probably a parts order. He just nodded. The math was obvious without me saying a number.
He asked for two keys that morning. Smart call, years too late, but he made it.
