2007 Infiniti M45 Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I got a call from a guy in Las Positas who had just driven a used 2007 Infiniti M45 off a lot. One key, like most used luxury cars. The salesperson told him to sort out a spare himself, which is pretty standard advice and pretty inconvenient all at the same time.
He called the Infiniti dealer first. They quoted him a number that made him pause, especially a week after financing a car. He started searching and found me.
When I got to him, he was parked near his place in Las Positas, still had that new-to-him car smell going on. He handed me the original fob and I confirmed the factory FCC ID on it matched what I had in my bag. Four-button layout, CR2032, the blade inside for mechanical backup. Everything lined up.
I cut the replacement blade to match his locks, paired the new fob to the vehicle using my diagnostic equipment, and walked every function before I put my tools away. Lock, unlock, and the other two buttons all confirmed. The door handle touch sensors responded on both sides. The start button saw both fobs without hesitation.
The part I always mention at the end of a job like this: now that he has two registered keys, if one ever goes missing he is looking at a simple add-a-key appointment, not an all-keys-lost reset. That distinction matters more than people realize until the day one key vanishes.
He saved a good chunk compared to what the dealer quoted him, and he drove home with the situation handled before dinner.
