She was at the rental car return lot in Spring Valley early in the morning, about to switch from a rental back to her own 2010 Audi A3, and her only Audi key was not in her bag. She returned the rental, started her own car, and drove to the airport with time to spare. Total was $271. The dealer wanted $502 and a next-week appointment. She would have missed her flight, paid rental extension fees, and still been without a key.
