I connected through the OBD port with my key programming tool. Cleared the incomplete registration from the previous attempt, pulled a fresh PIN from the immobilizer, ran the correct sequence with the security timer respected, and got a confirmation that the key was written permanently. She drove it around the block herself before I packed up, just to be sure. Clean start, no stall, no warning lights.
She'd already paid once for a job that wasn't finished. I made sure this one was.
