Shadowridge on a Friday night has that quiet suburban energy after about 8pm. Parking lots thin out, the restaurants are winding down, and most people are home. A couple was not home. They were standing next to their 2006 Ford Freestar in a lot near the movie theaters, and the van was not cooperating.
The remote head key had gone completely dead on the remote side. Doors would not respond, the panic button did nothing.
