Sunday morning at the flea market in Alpine. A vintage reseller with a 2012 Volkswagen Beetle walked back to her car after setting up her booth and the smart key wouldn't unlock the doors. Dead buttons, no push-to-start response, nothing. The VW dealer was closed until Monday and her booth was already set up.

I got to the flea market in about 40 minutes. I tested her fob first and the CR2032 battery was dead, plus the transponder was corrupted signal that a simple battery swap alone wouldn't clear. I used my VVDI Key Tool to generate a fresh transponder chip and build a new smart key matched to her car's immobilizer module. Her new fob, FCC ID NBG010180T, was a 4-button smart key with push-to-start that I programmed through OBD. I tested lock, unlock, trunk, start, and confirmed keyless entry range from across the lot.
She sold vintage all day and drove home that evening. Total was $217. Dealer would have been $436 on Monday at the earliest. Same rate on Sunday as any weekday.
