Out in Fanita Ranch, a vet assistant was finishing a late shift and walked to the employee lot around 10 PM. Her flip key went into the ignition but would not turn. Not stiff. Not grindy. Just stopped, like the cylinder had made a decision.

I freed the cylinder, cleaned the binding wafer, and decoded the lock to cut a fresh replacement blade to spec. Her original flip key reassembled cleanly and cycled through the ignition without any hesitation. All four buttons worked. Tested the lock, the unlock, the trunk release, and held the panic long enough to know it was real.
She was back on the road within 40 minutes of my arrival. She had already checked the dealer and knew they had no availability until the following week. She was not leaving her car in that lot overnight, and she did not have to.
