Do you need to tow your 1996 Dodge Intrepid to the dealer? Almost certainly not. For most Dodge models from the late 2000s through the early 2020s, I handle all-keys-lost right at the vehicle.
A home care worker in a manufactured home community in Oxnard had her only Fobik stop working one morning before her first patient visit. She seemed pretty relieved when the push-to-start lit up on the first press.
Her total was about 95. The dealer would have been 200 plus the tow. There are a small number of very new Dodge platforms where aftermarket tools don't cover AKL reliably, and those do need the dealer. But for the vast majority on the road, I do all-keys-lost on-site every week. If yours is an exception, I'll tell you straight up instead of wasting your time.
