I got a call from a guy out near Lake Los Carneros, Goleta side, who had been sitting in a parking lot for about two hours before he found me. He'd been riding his ATV on the trails nearby, came back to the lot, and his only key to the 2001 Dodge Intrepid was gone. Somewhere on the trail, somewhere in the dirt. Not coming back.

The other locksmith's quote would have left him with a drilled ignition and a replaced cylinder, work he didn't need. The whole job took me under an hour. He drove off the lot, and I had another stop to make before lunch.
