An ATV rider at the desert trailhead outside Goleta realized his key was gone after unloading his quad. It must have bounced out on the trail. I used my Y157 Lishi to decode his door lock and read each wafer position inside the cylinder without touching the internal components. That gave me factory cut depths for a new blade. Once I had the code, I cut a fresh key, built the transponder, and programmed it through OBD. His Fobik, FCC ID , was a -button remote that I paired to the WIN module as part of the all-keys-lost sequence.
No drilling, no cylinder swap, no new ignition. His total was 95. The other locksmith was quoting 200 or more with a full cylinder replacement. His original lock works with the new key exactly as it always did.
