Do you need to tow your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe to the dealer? For most Hyundai models from the mid-2000s through about 2022, no. I handle all-keys-lost right at the car.

His smart key, FCC ID SY5DMFNA04, was a 4-button smart key. I programmed it in his driveway at 1am. He seemed pretty surprised it could all happen right there.
His total was about 95. The dealer would have been 200 plus a tow and a wait until business hours. There are a small number of 2024 and newer Hyundai platforms with security gateways where AKL pushes into advanced territory. Those take longer and cost more, and I'll tell you that up front. But for the majority of Hyundais currently on the road, I do all-keys-lost on-site regularly. Midnight in a driveway is not a problem.
