She was at the shopping center in Poway and her purse was gone. Someone grabbed it while she was loading bags into the car with her kids. Car keys, wallet, phone, everything. She borrowed a phone from another shopper and called her husband first, then the police, then me.
Her 2022 Acura ILX was in the lot with zero keys. The Acura dealer told her husband they could order a key but it would take 3 to 5 business days, the car would need to be towed in, and they recommended rekeying the locks since the stolen fob could still open the car. Combined estimate was over $650.

I used my IM608 to access the immobilizer module, wipe the old key data, and program two new smart keys from scratch. Her fob, FCC ID KR5V2X, was a 4-button proximity key. I decoded the lock with my Lishi, cut the emergency blade, and had both fobs working before she finished the police report.
She drove home that night with her kids. Total was $312 for two new keys. The dealer estimated $572 plus a tow and a multi-day wait. The stolen fob can still physically touch the door handle, but the immobilizer won't let the engine start. She had two fresh keys and the old one was dead to the car.
