2015 BMW 4 Series Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Downtown Ramona, a Tuesday afternoon outside the optometrist on Main Street. A woman had both her kids with her, a follow-up appointment done, and a 4 Series that needed a replacement smart key. She had already called the dealer that morning. They gave her a slot the following Monday.
That was five days away. She had school pickups, errands, and no second vehicle. Monday was not an option.
She found me while standing in the parking lot still on the phone, looked up mobile locksmith, and I was already in the area.
I pulled into the lot and got to work. The 4-button proximity fob she needed is one I carry. I connected my diagnostic equipment, accessed the vehicle's electronic module through the OBD port, ran the add-a-key sequence, and got the new fob enrolled. While that process ran its timed steps, I cut the emergency blade so it matched the door lock. Then I walked the whole thing: door handles, start button, trunk release, lock and unlock from distance. Everything live, everything confirmed, before I packed up.
She was in the car and calling her sister by the time I wrote the invoice. She mentioned the dealer quote, which included a tow because they said the car had to be there. I kept it simple and just said she saved a good chunk.
Tuesday call, Tuesday fix. Kids got picked up on time.
