A few things to check. First, make sure the CR2032 you put in is a quality cell, not a no-name one from a gas station rack. Low-output cells test as "new" but don't deliver the voltage the fob needs consistently.

Second, open the fob and look at the battery contacts. If the previous battery sat in there a long time or there was any moisture, the contacts can develop a film that kills conductivity even with a good battery seated.

Third, if the range is short and the key-not-detected warning shows up intermittently, especially around the push-button area or door handles, the antenna loop inside the car that reads the fob can be a factor. That's not a fob problem at all.

If you've done the battery swap correctly and the issue persists, that's when it makes sense to have someone run a diagnostic and check whether the fob needs to be re-paired or whether there's something else going on with the vehicle side of the system.
