Nissan Intelligent Key programming isn't a dealer-only procedure. It hasn't been for years. The car's immobilizer checks the transponder chip through a proximity antenna or ignition coil. Programming a new key means telling that immobilizer to accept one more chip code. I do it through the OBD port with a cable and a programming computer.
