Here's exactly what happens when I replace a 2009 Nissan 350z key. I verify your identity and ownership. Then I decode the lock and cut the blade. From there I connect my IM608 to OBD and access the immobilizer module. I initiate the key learn sequence and wait through the security countdown. Then I test.
