A call came in from Dictionary Hill in Spring Valley. The owner had a 1999 Grand Prix and one working remote left out of the original two. The working one was starting to act up, responding only when she held it inches from the door. The other fob had been dead for a while. She wanted a backup made before she ended up with nothing.

I ran the onboard programming sequence through the door lock and ignition, registered the new remote alongside her original, and walked every button on both fobs: lock, unlock, trunk, and the fourth button. Both remotes responded clean from across the parking area.
She mentioned the dealer had quoted her a trip-in fee just to look at it. She paid a fraction of that for the full job, done in her driveway, while she watched.
