His restaurant had a refrigerated delivery and the truck wouldn't start. A 2017 Ram Promaster sitting at a produce warehouse in National City with a dead smart key and a load of perishables that needed to move within the hour. The CR2032 battery in the fob had died and the backup start wasn't working because the RF-hub had a communication fault from a recent truck battery replacement.

The Ram dealer's earliest slot was tomorrow afternoon. He called me. I was 25 minutes out.

I plugged my IM608 into OBD as soon as I got the door open. His Remote, FCC ID RX2TRF198, was a 3-button Fobik with remote start. The fob battery was dead and the RF-hub had lost key sync after the truck battery swap. I replaced the fob, programmed through OBD, cleared the antenna fault, and tested every function including remote start from 30 feet.
