2020 Ram Promaster Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A logistics coordinator at a warehouse in Downtown La Mesa was running inbound shipments from early morning and his fob went dead after it took a splash loading a trailer.
The van itself started fine with the key in the cylinder, but the remote was gone. No lock, no unlock from across the lot, nothing. For a guy managing a dock solo, walking to the van every time is not an option.
He could not leave during receiving hours. Dealer was booked out and would have needed the van towed in anyway. He called me during a mid-morning break.
I pulled into the warehouse lot, popped the OBD port, and ran the fob diagnostic. The old remote was still listed in the system but completely unresponsive, the kind of dead you get when water gets into the board. I added a replacement fob with the factory identifier matching his original, confirmed all three buttons, and tested the door locks at the barn doors front to back.
The whole thing wrapped up before his next shipment came through. Van never left the lot. He paid a fraction of what the dealer quoted, and that quote did not even include a tow.
