If you already bought one, I can tell you pretty quickly whether it's worth trying. I've had aftermarket fobs register fine and I've had them fail mid-handshake and never recover.

One of my Crown's door handles stopped triggering the touch-unlock. The fob seems fine otherwise. What's going on?

If the other handles still respond and the start button recognizes the fob normally, the key itself is almost certainly not the issue. Touch-unlock on the Crown works through capacitive sensors built into each door handle. A single door losing that function while the rest of the system behaves normally points to the sensor on that door, the wiring to it, or occasionally debris or moisture in the handle cavity disrupting the read.

Wipe the handle area down and retest first. If it stays isolated to that one door, you're looking at a door-side diagnosis, not a key or fob replacement.
