I started with my HU56 Lishi to pick the door open and decode every wafer for the blade cut. For AKL, I also need CEM data. I pulled the module, read the EEPROM, generated a new key from the secured data, and wrote it back. His key, FCC ID KR55WK49266, was a 6-button remote that I cut, chipped, and programmed on the spot.
His car started in the same harbor lot. Total was around $338. Dealer would have been roughly $612 plus a tow and a multi-day wait. Volvo AKL takes longer than a spare because of the module work, but with the right bench tools it's still a mobile job.
