I was already working near the Eastlake area when a call came in from a guy parked in a shopping center off Otay Lakes Road. He had his 2014 XC60 with him but his fob had completely stopped being recognized. No warning he could pinpoint, just walked out after an errand and the car would not respond to the fob at all.
