A travel blogger at a coastal overlook pulloff near Loma Vista neighborhood had her emergency blade snap inside the door lock of her 2009 Jaguar XK. Then I extracted the broken fragment from the door lock using my HU92 Lishi without scratching the wafer surfaces inside. I decoded the lock, cut a fresh emergency blade, and rebuilt the smart key in a new housing. Her fob, FCC ID KR55WK49244, was a 5-button smart key.
No drilling and no cylinder replacement. Her total was 365. The other locksmith wanted 657 or more. Destructive entry on a Jaguar should be the absolute last resort.
