A skier at a resort lot outside Oxnard had a 2005 Lincoln Town Car with push-to-start and zero keys. He was an hour from town and everyone he'd asked said smart key AKL on a newer Lincoln was dealer-only.
I drove out with my IM608 and a Ford all-keys-lost bypass cable for the newer gateway system. I used my HU101 Lishi to open and decode the door lock, cut the emergency blade, then connected to OBD with the bypass cable stabilizing power. The body control module erased all old fob data and I placed each new fob in the backup slot as the system registered them. His smart key, FCC ID CWTWB1U793, was a 3-button Intelligent Access fob.
His car started at a ski lot. Total was around 185. Dealer would have been 395 plus a long-distance tow. Smart key AKL isn't dealer-only on Lincoln. It's tool-dependent.
