Got a call from a guy in the Sunset Hills area of Thousand Oaks on a Thursday afternoon. He had just bought a 2010 Lincoln Town Car used, private sale, and the seller handed him one key. One. Then he lost it somewhere between his kitchen counter and his life.
His Town Car was sitting in the driveway. No spare, no way in, no way to start it. He called the Lincoln dealer first. They told him tow it in, leave it, probably two to three days, and the number they quoted made him keep looking. He found me online about an hour later.
I started with my FO38 Lishi tool on the driver door lock, picking and decoding each wafer position to pull the bitting. Cut two fresh H75 remote head keys on my mobile machine right on his driveway. Then I plugged into the OBD-II port and started the PATS all-keys-lost procedure. Ford's system runs a mandatory 10-minute security timer during the erase-and-reprogram cycle, so there is a stretch where we both just stood there watching his neighbor's cat cross the street.
Timer cleared. Programmed both CWTWB1U793 remote head keys, tested the lock, unlock, and trunk buttons on each, and started the car twice to confirm the PATS transceiver was reading the 4D-63 80-bit chip clean.
He had two working keys in hand for a fraction of what the dealer quoted. No tow. No waiting days.
