Got a call from a guy in the Sea Air neighborhood of Oxnard, late on a weeknight. He was standing next to his 2006 Town Car in a parking garage, no key, no plan. He drove home that night. The dealer was closed, and even if they weren't, this would have cost him a tow plus a wait. The VIN is the one thing I always ask for first. It tells me almost everything before I leave the driveway.
