2008 Buick Enclave Transponder Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I got a call from a guy who'd been sitting in the parking lot near Fletcher Cove in Solana Beach for about two hours. He had a 2008 Buick Enclave and a story that was frustrating to hear.
He'd already called another locksmith he found through a Google ad. That tech showed up, tried to program a key with a tool that didn't have proper GM coverage for this vehicle, told the customer the immobilizer module was probably failing, and left without completing the job. Left him with a bill and no working key.
When I pulled up, the first thing I did was a quick diagnosis to confirm the immobilizer was reading fine. It was. The transponder in the new key just hadn't been enrolled. The previous tech had the hardware problem backwards.
I ran the correct security sequence for this vehicle, enrolled the transponder, verified ignition start, and walked through the full function check on site. The whole thing took under an hour.
He'd spent more on the failed first attempt than he spent on me. I told him what I always tell people around here: the price I quote on the phone is the price on the invoice. He just nodded and said he wished he'd called first.
The dealer comparison didn't even come up. He was past that point. He just wanted someone who actually finished the job.
