2024 Buick Enclave
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in San Diego

2024 Buick Enclave Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

A documentary filmmaker called me from a dead-end street near one of the canyon trails in North Park, San Diego. His 2024 Enclave was parked right at the point where the pavement just stops and the hiking path begins. No room for a flatbed. No way to tow anything out without blocking the whole street.

He had already called the dealer. They told him to arrange his own tow and book an appointment. He called me right after that conversation.

I parked at the top of the street and walked down with my bag. The car was sitting there completely locked out -- all keys lost, no working fob, no way in and no way to start it. I got in through the door lock cylinder using the mechanical override, then pulled up to the OBD port and ran the security access sequence on my diagnostic unit. GM's countdown timer does what it does. I waited it out, registered a fresh fob, tested every function including the door handles and the trunk release, and handed it over.

He drove it out himself. The car never needed a tow. The whole job was done on that dead-end street, which is exactly the kind of situation a mobile service is built for.

He mentioned afterward that the dealer quote, before he even factored in the tow he couldn't arrange, was already more than he wanted to spend. What he paid me was a fraction of that, and it happened the same day he called.
